Christmas ’23 Pottery,Paintings and Lasagne Recipe

New Christmas pottery just delivered to South Water Manor in Gallatin. I have been busy making my first purchased dinnerware set of “The Mountains are Calling”. The last load is in the kiln now for the final firing .In between loads, I managed to crank out a few Christmas items. My favorite is the Silent Night mug. I used a glaze called Hydrangea and it looks like snow falling. I also finished a few watercolor paintings this month .My daughter asked for Charlie”s Lasagna recipe which is listed below.

Microwave Lasagna
- 9 lasagna noodles
- 2 lbs. ground beef
- 1 bag of shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 large jar of Ragu Traditional spaghetti sauce
- 1 large tub of cottage cheese
- grated parmesan cheese
- 9 “ x 12” glass pan
Spray 9 x 12″ glass pan with Pam. Boil 9 lasagna noodles for 12 minutes. Brown the ground beef in a skillet and drain the fat. Mix the ground beef, spaghetti sauce and cottage cheese in a mixing bowl. Layer the ingredients starting with a layer of noodles, then the sauce mixture , and then mozzarella cheese. Repeat the layers several times. Finishing with sauce mixture on top.Cover with Saran Wrap. Cook in the microwave 10 minutes. Take out and replace the Saran Wrap with fresh wrap. Cook in the microwave another 10 minutes. Take the lasagna out of the microwave, remove Saran Wrap and sprinkle it with grated parmesan cheese. Let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes then it will be ready to serve.
