Susan Brandt…Ravin’Studio

I have always loved handmade pottery ,collecting unique mugs at craft fairs and drooling over ceramic pieces that I could not afford. In 2010, I took a graduate ceramic class at Cumberland University and I was hooked in the creation process. I admit that I did not have any natural talent for the process and was probably the worst pupil that Susan DeMay ever taught. For about two years, I took classes at various pottery studios and in 2014 renovated our garage into my own pottery studio. I am at peace when I am working in the studio. I am not sure whether it is the soothing turn of the wheel, or being covered in clay mud, or the challenge of the piece actually turning out to be the object that I had planned in my head that is so gratifying.

  1. Thanks for the recipes. I enjoyed reading your notes and appreciate your talent. We miss Charlie’s treats on Sunday morning. He is a good cook and always had something different and delicious. Thanks to a special couple. 💗
